NORTON AND DAVIS HOST VIEWING AND DIALOGUE ON
CLINTON'S TOWN HALL MEETING ON RACE

Washington, D.C.—-Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) and Congressman Tom Davis (R-Va.) will host a viewing and dialogue on the President's town hall meeting on race relations with House and Senate Members and staff on Wednesday, December 3, 1997, at 11:30 a.m. in Room 2167 of the Rayburn House Office Building, located at the corner of Independence Avenue and South Capitol Street, S.W.

In their notice to staff, the two Members said, "Every day most of us work together without regard to race or ethnicity in a fashion that brings honor on the House and is a model of interracial cooperation.  What more should we be doing?"  The two said that they believe all have something to learn from residents of Akron, Ohio, where the town meeting will take place.
