I have to admit this website provided me with important information concerning the plight of interracial individuals to be recognized in this country. However, my sympathy does not go any further concerning their situation. I believed mixed children especially blacks and whites ancestary have it made because they have the benefits of both worlds. So, as a proud dark complexion black female who as to constantly face racism, the struggles of the Mariah Careys’ of the world means nothing to me.

  1. As usual, the “mixies have it made” argument. Is that type of envy really necessary? If that argument were true, then why does the NAACP try to coerce those of mixed race into accepting a black ONLY identity? They use scare tactics and intimidation, not unlike those practiced by organized crime. In effect, they say you must do what we say and then we’ll protect you from racism. They say that without their help, those of mixed race will not make in American society. That is the ultimate lie and a disgusting display of modern racist politics. Business as usual for the NAACP.
