OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET (OMB) APPROVES ONE-DROP
APPROACH TO TABULATION OF MULTIPLE RESPONSES TO RACIAL QUESTIONS
ON 2000 CENSUS

The OMB has issued it’s long-awaited guidelines for tabulation of the 2000 Census. Surprise, surprise, it appears, as pointed out over a year ago by Project RACE and The Multiracial Activist in “Blood Pressure,” that One-Drop is indeed the rule for tabulation of multiple responses to racial identity questions. So much for President Clinton’s grand designs for “One America.” Guess the multiracial population isn’t considered part of America. For more information, see:
