Dear All Leaders:

Effective as of March 31, 2000, at 10:00 p.m., est, I have submitted my official letter of resignation, as deputy chief national director of A PLACE FOR US.

I am pleased with my works, sacrifices, contributions, hurdles that where overcome, extraordinary moments at the U.S. Capitol and other wonderful places, and list goes on ad infinite, with this dedicated official 501 (c) (3) non profit interracial organization these past ten illustrious years. And, having made many lifelong friends, in the “movement” these past years makes the past decade even more special. Friends that I hold near and dear to my heart.

I have never been more truly blessed and the blessings keep on increasing two-fold. That alone is miraculous! And, I am eternally grateful to all who have been my “Rock of Gibraltar” in the good times and the difficult trying times. Grateful to the Great Spirit for opening my heart and mind to the music and allowing me to use my talents to make a more harmonious and melodious song among humankind.

I will continue on this road of human kindness and racial oneness, ethnic and cultural celebration and religious tolerance and utmost freedom, thus being an integral part of the “movement”. I will pursue these goals within my two grass roots groups, Multiethnic Women for Media Fairness, founded in 1992, and the Ameurofian Heritage Foundation, founded name in 1989; group began in 1994.

May you all continue to be friends of the movement, enlightened and blessed in these difficult times ahead.

Your dearest comrade in the struggle,

Valerie A. Wilkins-Godbee
aka “Touching Leaves”, aka “P.W.”
