Comment in question Re: Love in Black and White Written by KEVIN10134 , on 12-01-2001 06:34 Regarding my mother and unconditional love. I am sure that the woman who brought me into this world has deep, deep love and affection for her son. But that is totally different than the love for the opposite sex. Very few people divorce their mothers and never speak to them. But here in America, divorce is at an all time high, above 50% of married couples. Are you telling me that their uncoditional love had conditions? People are fallible and they do things to others and sometimes those thing can be repaired, for others they end in division. Sorry but that is a reality and it has nothing to do with biology. I love my mother and father becuase they are my parents, no other reason needed. Although, I like them for who they are and sometimes I don't. But a stranger, I have to learn to love--it isn't automatic. I love everyone as a human being sure, but to love deeply without conditions is another matter. Unconditional means that they can try and kill you and you keep loving them. They cheat on you and do it in front of you, when they leave you for 20 years and you wait for them--they come back and things go on as normal. It is loving them without any question.
