The Métis Nation of Alberta and the Minister of Canadian Heritage are pleased to announce a request for proposals. The overall goal of Urban Multipurpose Aboriginal Youth Centres (UMAYC) is to create a network of programs that will provide accessible, Aboriginal, community-based, culturally relevant programming to urban Aboriginal youth in order to approve their economic, social and personal prospects. The initiative is in support of programs that encourage Aboriginal youth to participate regardless of status, culture or gender, to meet their challenges and improve their personal prospects. Initiatives that support these goals are strongly encouraged to submit applications.
