I am developing an exciting workshop for people of multiracial background that I want to make available to schools, universities, corporations and other institutions.

Do you have ideas for ways to get out the word about the workshop and what you would like to see a workshop on "The Multiracial Experience" cover, discuss, or include?

I plan to get a national dialogue started and maybe publish a book in the next 5-10 years.

Thanks!

Kelly Bates

Hello,

Good luck with your ventures.

I would like to see more dialogue pertaining to those who are multi-generationally mixed, and not just those who are first-generationally mixed.

We often face an interesting set of challenges when we identify differently from our parents, siblings, and other family members.

Perhaps you could stop by my forum (The Newly Identified Multiracial) for another place to get the word out about your workshop.

Great point. I would love to hear more about how some of the generational issues play themselves out. I will check out your site.

Thanks Kelly.

Of course, none of our Multiracial issues are more important than another. They are all equally important to me.

By the way, I looked at your site, and it's wonderful. (smile) The work you do is so important, especially coming from a Multiracial point of view.

think discussing the miseducation of non multiracial people is important. To many of them believe we are a confused people who don't have an idea who we are and misinformed multiracial people succumb to their ignorance. Good luck in your endeaveor and let me know if your program be in the Baltimore area.
