I am a "white" girl who lives in southern Georgia, so I know about racism. I see it every day. And it is really sad to me. "White" people want to hollar that they are so much better than everyone else and they couldn't even tell you a proper defintion for the term "white person". The fact is, we are all Americans...we are from all over the world and are in a nutshell a country full of migrants. Personally, I am predominantly American Indian, mixed with Norwegian, Irish, and probably several other things that I am not even aware of. So...am I "white", though? That is what society has labeled me as, but on what grounds? That is the downfall of labeling what race an American is. We are all a mixture of races, unique in our own ways. Society should learn to embrace the beauty of a person, not their origin or their color of skin.
