Subject: Research/Survey Request
Many people assume that being multiracial equals social marginalization and difficult psychological adjustment. Although we are growing in numbers, there has been little research to prove or disprove this myth. Almost all of the research that has been done is conducted with solely biracial people, leaving out those of us whose family backgrounds include numerous racial and ethnic groups.
I am beginning my doctoral research in psychology with a dissertation study on how multiracial adults feel about themselves and their relationships. I would like to ask for volunteers between the ages of 20 and 29 to fill out a mail survey that will take less than an hour to complete. All information is kept strictly confidential, and participation may be discontinued at any time.
