Letters to the editor:
"When it comes to race, we're all mixed", April 2002, commentary by Stanley Crouch, makes the case which I, personally, have begun to become increasingly disturbed by; and I plan to take drastic measures in the very foreseeable future to insure that these bogus claims made are addressed.
After this comment; "...Ellison's idea that by blood or culture, whites are part black and Negroes are part white.", in the literary world, Mr. Crouch states, "That still hasn't happened.", is simply misleading. There is a vibrant, growing and politically well-connected "mixed-race" community in America. The literature on this subject is fresh, with depth, and profoundly insightful. I wish people in the media would stop and dig before making such broad and sweeping comments about an entire group of 6.8 million multiracial U.S. citizens.
