I am a biracial woman who, after 46 years, would like to locate my father.
This appears to be an impossible dream for several reasons. I am
adopted and have never met my mother and I know little about my father with the
exception that he was African American and an Army soldier stationed in Manheim,
Germany in 1950-1951. My mother’s name is Elisabeth Tiechert. My only blood
relation is my wonderful son who is now 21. I would be so grateful if any of
you could offer suggestions about where would I begin such a search? Should
anything ever happen to me, I don’t want my son to be alone. Thanks for reading
this short passage. Have a blessed day.
