Subject: Anyone for Tennis
I'm not much of a tennis fan myself, being a Brit the game doesn't offer much
for me to cheer about. I happened upon an Associated Press piece being
carried by my local Orange County Register daily paper today. It appears a
certain Alexandra Stevenson, an 18 year old currently doing well at Wimbledon
may be the child of married black basketball great Julius "Dr. J" Erving and
Samantha Stevenson, a free-lance journalist. The AP informs us "Samantha
Stevenson is white; her daughter [Alexandra] is black." The one-drop rule is
alive and well ladies and gentlemen.
