{"id":4719,"date":"2002-08-02T16:27:32","date_gmt":"2002-08-02T16:27:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/multiracial.com\/?p=4719"},"modified":"2017-02-05T23:50:36","modified_gmt":"2017-02-05T23:50:36","slug":"detainees-decision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/multiracial.com\/index.php\/2002\/08\/02\/detainees-decision\/","title":{"rendered":"Detainees Decision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For several months, through the participation of The Multiracial Activist, I&#8217;ve been a plaintiff in the lawsuit coordinated by Kate Martin, Ken Gude and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cfr.org\/public\/resource.cgi?pers!43\">Mort Halperin<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gwu.edu\/~cnss\/\">Center for National Security Studies<\/a> asking for Justice\/INS to release the names of those detained on suspected terrorist activity, or in most cases, just plain detained, while the Adminstration played fast and loose with FOIA, attorney-client privilege, etc. I haven&#8217;t yet read the 40-some page decision, as it was just release.
