The piece, by Rebecca Brasfield, was titled: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20040409111210\/http:\/\/www.uictoday.net\/vnews\/display.v\/ART\/2002\/10\/14\/3daa436ba1989\">Interracial dating brings special problems<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I took issue with the title from the beginning and fired off a quick post to the article. My posting was also run as a letter to the editor on October 14\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uictoday.net\/vnews\/display.v\/ART\/2002\/10\/14\/3daa436ba1989\">available here<\/a>. My colleague, George Winkel also posted a response to the article which was published in the same issue. As always, George said it well and drove home some points that I should have mentioned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong>\u00a0The author of the piece believes she is being misrepresented. I&#8217;ve misrepresented nothing in this weblog posting. Either she authored the article, or she didn&#8217;t. However, she has attributed the article&#8217;s offending title to an editor.
