In your new book, you call Afrocentrism \u201cself-eliminative and isolationist.\u201d Could you kindly tell our readers why you believe this?<\/p>\n<p>Dickerson:  I don\u2019t think Afrocentrism must be self-eliminative and isolationist, just that it often is. Afrocentrism is a valid discipline and world view and there are many worthy Afrocentrists just as there are many worthy Sinophiles or Anglophiles.
