Bush declined to speak at the annual convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), he sparked &#8211; unwittingly, I am certain &#8211; a national discussion about the NAACP that is long overdue.<\/p>\n<p>For decades, the NAACP has well served the nation and &#8220;colored people,&#8221; in particular, in its advocacy of the cause of justice and equality for all Americans.
