Getting ridding of categories is not going to bring an end to that. Plus I see nothing wrong with trying to find out how diverse a school or workplace is.

I do feel that the multiracial category added to the census, college applications, job applications and anywhere else that the forms ask for a person’s racial identity.

Now I would like to know how a school or job place is supposed to know just how diverse it has become without people identifying their race.

If I marry a woman in my racial group and have a child, I would like to know how diverse the school is and how many children of my child’s race is attending the school.

Again I feel that a multiracial category should be added on all forms.

This is the direction I feel that the movement should take.

Bernard Glass

P.S.
