Interracial couplings among \u201cblack\u201d and \u201cmultiracial\u201d women and \u201cwhite\u201d men are on the rise for a host of reasons: Mostly for natural reasons; and because some, in the pool of \u201cblack\u201d men, that are available, as Cose pointed out, just aren\u2019t up to par. Educationally, and otherwise for many \u201cblack\u201d women, today. In defense of interracial dating and marriage, I read in a dated article, in an Ebony interview from the 1960\u2019s, where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., said, (when asked about his thoughts on interracial marriages), \u201cRaces don\u2019t marry, people do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sincerely,<br>\u2013 Valerie A.
