I watched people rushing down the hall, slowing and stopping, and then standing for long periods of time gazing at the photographs and reading the words of the families shown in the pictures. I saw parents and children spending time together as they read the text and discussed the pictures.\u201d<\/em>\u2014 Peg Scholtes, Executive Director, Family Enhancement Health and Family Center, Madison, WI<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please allow this introduction for&nbsp;<strong>OF MANY COLORS: Portraits of Multiracial Families<\/strong>. Of Many Colors is a touring collection of museum quality photographs and text, for a k-6, adolescent, and adult audience,that tell the story of pioneering multiracial families who have bridged the racial divide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibit has been featured at hundreds of sites in the US and abroad:&nbsp;<em>Columbia University; American Society of Curriculum Development Conference,National Association of Independent Schools, the Needham, Mass school district, University of Chicago; Unitarian Churches, Windom Open School, Minn., Roosevelt University, Chicago, Department of Defense Elementary Schools, Germany<\/em>, and many, many other sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This exhibit is now available as a book:&nbsp;<em>OF MANY COLORS: Portraits of Multiracial Families<\/em>&nbsp;(with a foreword by&nbsp;<em>Teaching Tolerance<\/em>&nbsp;Editor, Glenda Valentine). The Of Many Colors book is a wonderful resource for educators, children, and adults. The book includes the exhibit narratives and photographs of over thirty families, plus a resource guide.
