Earlier this year, a bill, H.R. 1266, to eliminate the INS’ use of “secret evidence” as a tool of oppression was making headway and gaining cosponsors. In the wake of last weeks terrorist attacks, massive attacks on civil liberties appear to be coming our way. Please take some time to contact your Member of Congress and ask them to support H.R. 1266, which calls for ending the INS practice of “secret evidence.” The next casualties will be what remains of our civil liberties.
