Subject: Research/Survey Request
Hello My wife and I have built a few sites for ethnically mixed couples like ourselves. I am American and my wife is Thai. I met my wife here in the US while attending college. Our first web site started as a way to just meet other couples like ourselves and expanded into an advice column. Then into a multiple resource site for ethnically mixed couples. Now we have grown to find the need for forums, chatrooms and newsletters. We focus on Southeast Asian and farang topics ranging from relationships to immagration and expanding into other areas of interest.
Currently We are working on a weekly newsletter. Our goal is to help others understand the problems face in ethniclly mixed relationships. Topics areas include problems that arrise in marriages, friendships, work places, stereotyping of Asian women, the focus put on Asian prostitution throughout the web, Difficulties with immigrating, and the problems that arrise from not understanding each other's culture or language.
We are now at the point that we need others to share their own personal experience and outlook on these topics. My wife and I are hoping to interview other ethnically mixed couples via e-mail. Also ethnic students in the US or in Asia. Also Children of ethnically mixed marriages. Our purpose is to help others know that they are not alone in how they feel when it comes to ethnic problems of all shapes and sizes.
Many out there have experiences and stories to share that others may be able to relate to. By doing so, you can touch someone elses life in a positive way. Please contact us if you are interested in sharing some e-mails and sharing your personal experiense with others through our weekly newsletters, and Web sites.
