The racist “one drop” myth of white racial purity is even being advocated on fantasy (vampire) television programs. Even though the word “black” is not used to describe the character “Judy” in the “Angel” episode “Are You Now or Have You Ever Been?”, you van see from this online summary of the episode that “Judy” (and all other mixed whites) are insulted by the author’s use of the term “black woman passing for white.” There is no such creature. If you want to insult people and tell them that their European ancestry is too great any “honor” to claim, there is no clearer way to do it.
