Admittedly, the KKK picture is students dressing up for halloween, but the authorities of the school allowed it. I have also experienced racial descrimination by other students and other student often tell racial jokes. My ex-school only took one action to counter any of this descrimination and that action was tooken after my father asked for them to do it. My father gave 2 classes a speech on ethnic tolerance. The school then put up quotes by MLK jr. and believed that the ethnic problem was solved. I have lousely been referred to as inferior by other students despite the fact I read during my lunch period. My school doesn’t take action against those who claim to be skinheads and give racially discrimatory briefings to other students on school grounds. I have been called duragutory names such as “gook”, “chink”, and “nigger lover.” No action was taken against the students that harrassed me and they repeat t! hese actions throughout the year. My school also has a growing animosity towards Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, and other hispanic related races. I have heard them referred to as “fence hoppers” and “dirty illegals” and once again, no action was taken against the students who commited the infraction. I have even been told to “go home” referring to my non-native Philipines to which I have only been to once at a young age. I only ask for some form of retribution. Wether it be an angry letter to my school from an organized association on a full strike against it. After my multiple experiences, I have been forced to switch schools to avoid the harrasment.
