Research/Survey Request

I am a West Virgianian by hertitage. I have been reading about the melungeons and am very exicted. I have a lot of the charactics of melungeons, ie short heavy and have a melungeon maiden name. We are researching the Johnson surname as well as others. We have been hitting a lot of brick walls maybe this is the answer. Any suggestions: Marsha
