According to Vernon Bellecourt of the American Indian Movement, Colin Powell is a “Buffalo Soldier”.
I was channel surfing on my TV, yesterday, April 20, 2002, and I caught the wave known as CSPAN.
I think it was the rally sponsored by “International Answer” (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), in Washington DC.
I was rather shocked at the blatant hypocritical racism in such a statement. This Leftist activist, who supposedly wants to stop racism, looks at a man like Powell, looks at his career and at the color of his skin, and decides to refer to him as a “Buffalo Soldier”.
I think it’s despicable, but yet it is typical of the rhetoric we hear at these events.
It IS hate.
