  1. It is funny, though, that most “African-Americans” and other self-identified blacks would NEVER be considered “black” in either Africa or Latin America (particularly Brazil). One must be near-blue to qualify! LOL. So, my question is this: Why do YOU think “black America” is holding on to the “black” identity? Wouldn’t it be just as easy for them to drop it and move on? Accept their white and amerindian heritage and proclaim their mixed identity without shame? If you can do it, why can’t they? What is holding them back? I don’t get it. I honestly don’t.

  2. Speaking of the “myth of the light-skinned black”, how hilarious is the on-going myth of the brown-skinned BLACK. AFRO_AMERICANS kill me… brown sugar, brown skin, etc. I believe Americans have forgotten exactly what BLACK really is. Southern Delights is right, send them to Africa. The whole lot need a reality check. But first, visit my site “Angelic Beauty, a tribute to mixed women”.

  3. I agree, I always thought “Light Skinned Black” was an oxymoron! I knew something was up when I was 4 years old!! I am now 42, so you can imagine the reaction my parents had to my questions. I never quite fit in with black identified people. Most of the “Blacks” I have been associated with were educated to some degree and spoke standard English, regardless of their colour, actually. I find today that white conservatives are more accepting of the multi-racial movement and the out datedness of the One Drop Myth, than are leftists, particularly “Black” leftists who are really Stalinists, IMO. I could go on about this, but must go.

  5. First off, the concept of this site is trash. A majority of “light-skinned,” whatever you want to call yourselves, people associate with mostly with African Americans because they are accepted. The people at this site have one thing in common, conflicts with self-identity, fo which this site is used to vent. These lightskinned people believe we are in a golden age where they can push their yellow politics, but see how far white people take you in. So your a half-breed, Black and White, you better find a social base or you will sway to public opinnion at every turn. Light skinned people consider themselves Black because, for all the horrible, latent, self-hatred and racism evinced at this stupid site, because black people are accepting. We are not perfect, like any race, or mixed race, but if you will accept some good point about Blacks past your rhetoric, you will see that Mixed race individuals have found a haven in the Black race, on cultural grounds and social structures.

If a race war ever happens I hope the yellow army is ready, but you you laughing this possiblity away, exhert your self in your mixed world and you will be reminded of who accepts your. Of course light-skinned people are not 100 percent black, but the affiliation is more than genetics.

This is a site for self-hating, ignorant, white-washed yellow dogs, as a affluent White quipped.
